📋 Requirements: What you need
- A functioning RSS feed (e.g. from your blog or a news site)
- One DotSimple Account with access token & workspace ID
- One Zapier account
🗂️ Step 1: Create Zap in Zapier

Trigger - RSS by Zapier:
Event: New Item in Feed
→ Enter the feed URL (e.g.https://deinblog.at/feed
) -
Testing:
Click on "Test Trigger" to ensure that items are recognized correctly.

Action - DotSimple: Upload File
→ If your DotSimple account is not yet connected:- In DotSimple, go to Settings → Access token
- Click on "Create new token" (e.g. "Zapier RSS Queue")
- Select "never expires" and copy the token
- The Workspace ID can be found in the URL after
/app/
(e.g.app.dotsimple.io/app/abc123
)
→ Use the image URL from the RSS feed (e.g. media:content or rawImageUrl)
📅 Step 3: Schedule the contribution in the queue

Action - DotSimple: Create Post
→ Set the following fields:- Cue:
true
- IsOriginal:
true
- Body: Text field from the RSS feed (e.g. description or content)
- Media: File ID from the upload step
- Platform: z.e.g. Instagram, LinkedIn page or Facebook
❌ Important: Leave the fields Schedule and Schedule Now empty - only the field Queue: true must be set so that the contribution is automatically scheduled in the queue.

✅ Result: Post ends up in your DotSimple queue
Every new post from your RSS feed is automatically imported into DotSimple and lands directly in your queue. For example, if you have set it to post every Tuesday at 10 a.m., the posts will appear one after the other at exactly this frequency.
💡 Tips for the queue workflow
- Check in DotSimple under Settings → Queue timeson which days and times posts from the queue are published
- Use filters in Zapier to only accept certain feed entries (e.g. category or title contains certain keyword)
- Automatically add the original link from the RSS article to the text
