Connect multiple RSS feeds with DotSimple - Queue (via Zapier)

Do you run several blogs or want to curate content from different sources and post it automatically? With Zapier you can use several RSS feeds at the same time and automatically add new posts to the DotSimple queue insert - perfect for regular publications with a system.

Would you prefer to see the process in action? No problem! In this video, we show you step by step how to automatically connect DotSimple to RSS - whether with Zapier or Make.com.

▶️ Tip: The video visually guides you through both variants - including setup, image upload and planned publication.

📋 Requirements: What you need

  • Several RSS feed URLs (e.g. from various blogs, news sites or CMS systems)
  • One DotSimple account with access token & workspace ID
  • One Zapier account

🗂️ Step 1: Create a new zap with multiple RSS feeds

  1. Trigger - RSS by Zapier:
Event: New Items in Multiple Feeds

  2. Enter feeds:
Simply enter all the URLs you want to monitor - one per line.
    Example:

    https://blog1.at/feed
    https://blog2.at/feed
    https://newsportal.at/rss

  3. Testing:
Click on "Test Trigger" to ensure that an entry is recognized correctly.

🖼️ Step 2: Upload image from the RSS post

  1. Action - DotSimple: Upload File
If your DotSimple account is not yet connected:

    • Go to Settings → Access token in DotSimple
    • Create a new token (e.g. "Zapier Multi RSS")
    • Select "never expires"
    • Copy the Workspace ID from the URL (e.g. dotsimple.io/app/abc123)

→ Select a suitable image URL from the RSS feed (e.g. media:content or enclosure)

📅 Step 3: Schedule the contribution in the queue

  1. Action - DotSimple: Create Post
    → Set the following fields:

    • Cue: true
    • IsOriginal: true
    • Body: z.e.g. description or excerpt from the feed
    • Media: File ID from the upload step
    • Platform: z.e.g. Instagram, LinkedIn page or Facebook

❌ Note: Leave Schedule and Schedule Now empty - through Queue = true DotSimple automatically takes over the next free slot in the specified release rhythm.

✅ Result: All feeds automatically run into your DotSimple queue

Every new post - regardless of the feed - is imported directly into DotSimple and automatically scheduled in the queue. The publication then takes place exactly according to your schedule (e.g. Tuesday 10 am, Thursday 3 pm, etc.).

💡 Bonus tips

  • Use Zapier filters to only accept certain sources or categories
  • Automatically add the title + link to the original source in the text field
  • Add emojis or hashtags automatically if required
