The aim is to collect and bundle information in order to derive management decisions with regard to the overall corporate strategy. Social Media Intelligence does not refer to a single technique, but rather encompasses the entire process from providing the data to applying the insights. In addition to the business aspect of social media intelligence, SOCMINT or SMI is also used to obtain intelligence Findings used by intelligence agencies.
