Clickbait is web content with a misleading or lurid headline designed to get the reader to click through to the full article, which is generally a letdown. The goal of clickbait is usually to generate page views and advertising revenue. All social networks have spoken out against clickbait, and the algorithms are designed not to display clickbait posts. In other words, this practice should be avoided.
