We protect your data

DotSimple is operated by the Hetzner Cloud. This means your data is stored securely every day in the best possible data centers in Germany.

The data always moves across encrypted networks and is immediately written to multiple hard drives, backed up daily and stored in multiple locations. Even though you probably wouldn't care about data security (since the pictures and videos are published on social networks), there are some important reasons for data security:

Files uploaded by our customers are encrypted at rest on servers that use modern techniques to eliminate bottlenecks and sources of error.

Ongoing internal network security audits and scans give us an overview to quickly identify affected systems and services.

Whenever a vulnerability in a product used by DotSimple or a high or critical vulnerability is publicly reported, immediate action is taken to mitigate potential risks to our customers - we promptly apply hotfixes and patches when available and/or implement proactive mechanisms such as configuring firewalls or IDS/IPS.

Your data is sent via HTTPS

Whenever your data is transferred between you and us, everything is encrypted and sent via HTTPS.

DotSimple uses TLS with industry-leading modern browsers. When you access DotSimple, TLS technology protects your information through both server authentication and data encryption. This is equivalent to the network security methods used in banks and leading e-commerce sites. All passwords, cookies and sensitive information of all users are reliably protected from eavesdropping.

Full redundancy for all important systems

As we use a reputable cloud storage provider that always ensures us that your data is stored on multiple computers, and in accordance with all regulations.

Physical security

Our state-of-the-art servers are protected by biometric locks and round-the-clock internal and external surveillance. Only authorized personnel have access to the data center. 24/7/365 on-site staff provide additional protection against unauthorized access and security breaches.

Regularly updated infrastructure

Our software infrastructure is regularly updated with the latest security patches. Our products run on a dedicated network that is blocked with firewalls and carefully monitored with intrusion detection technology. Although perfect security is a moving target, we work with security researchers to stay on the cutting edge of web security.

We protect your payment information

All credit card transactions are processed using secure encryption - the same level of encryption used by leading banks. Card information is securely transmitted once to a third-party payment gateway, which then stores the card information and sends only an identifying hash (ID number) back to us. No payment information or credit card numbers are ever stored on DotSimple's servers.
